Calling all Studios: Who Will Help in the Making of The Travels of The Penguin?
The new children’s series The Travels of The Penguin has been greenlit by WGBH.  It will be a pleasure to see the upcoming show on the channel’s lineup- that is, once a production company is acquired.  So the question now is- who will provide the official look for this new series?

That is why The Penguin will be looking for the one to handle his new show.  Any company who is interested can make a sample piece to send in for audition.  Just make sure that the look truly reflects the feel of The Penguin.

Best Wishes,
Tim

On Writing “On Writing”

The book is fairly interesting thus far.  I have heard of Stephen King before (thanks to my mother) and read some of his work.  Here we get to know some insight about his life and career, alongside with the writing advice he has to offer.  Anecdotes can get the point made when he has personal experience to note; one example was the research/back story being related to the time when he was writing “From a Buick Eight,” wondering how he would portray the Pennsylvania State Police in the story.

Something New Comes This Way

The ultimate new kids program, tentatively titled The Travels of the Penguin, is expected to be this year’s hottest new franchise for those in the 5-10 range.  The central protagonist, whose name has yet to be decided upon, is a smart yet fun loving bird of Antarctica whose adventures lead him to help solve problems in math, writing, art, and other topics helpful for slightly older children.  It may be one to reach a new balance in fun and education.  Coming soon to televisions everywhere.

Run to Stand Still

Run to Stand Still

[run+stand+still-crop+Large+Web+view.jpg]
You ever feel like you need to be fast enough just to be still?  That’s exactly what I felt one time when I got to it.  It definitely seems hard when one thinks about, yet it’s as easy as it gets once you’ve got a hold of it.  That’s what I found out just last week.  I was getting to the maximum point, doing it with so much energy and focus, I finally accomplished the move.  By the end, it looked as though I actually had six arms on my body.  Yet then I felt still.  Isn’t that what you want?
It is as though the enemy or obstacle was tracking me down right now- Stalking about with ever so much darkness and mystery.  But what could he/she/it be after someone like me for?  Is it for some random thing I did?  Or perhaps just for whom I am?  Whatever the reason is, the feel of danger is already ubiquitous.
So with that in mind, that’s when the time to act arrives.  With amazing speed, the scenery around me lacks motion.  Whoever it was out there to look for me doesn’t find me.  As ironic as it might seem, one must be quick to be still if they want to be hidden.

Can You Hear the Music?

Throughout the years, since around 2006, I have acquired a vast interest in music- rock music as well as jazz, country, etc.  It is hard to say whether or not it is really that widespread- yes, because of the high number of artists and music types I have acquired; no, because there are still others out there to get.  Of course, the big picture here is that the amount I have already is above average for people of my age range.
Now what types of music in particular are there in the collection I have?  That’s a question for later…
